Fantasy Cricket Rules

Scoring system, point breakdowns, team selection rules, and contest formats explained.

Point Scoring System

Understanding the fantasy cricket scoring system is essential to building winning teams. On the fantasy cricket app, every run, wicket, catch, and milestone contributes to your fantasy score.

  • Batting: 1 point per run, +4 for a four, +6 for a six, +4 for a 50, +8 for a 100. Duck penalty: -2.
  • Bowling: 25 points per wicket, +4 for a 3-wicket haul, +8 for a 5-wicket haul. Maiden over: +8.
  • Fielding: 8 points per catch, 12 points per stumping/run-out (direct), 6 points per run-out (throw).
  • Economy rate bonus/penalty: Applied after the match based on final economy rate thresholds.
  • Strike rate bonus/penalty: Applied for batsmen who face a minimum number of deliveries.

Captain earns 2x points. Vice-captain earns 1.5x points. Choose wisely — these two players determine 30-40% of your total score.

Team Selection Rules

  • Pick exactly 11 players from both squads combined.
  • Maximum 7 players from a single team.
  • Must include: 1-4 wicketkeepers, 3-6 batsmen, 1-4 all-rounders, 3-6 bowlers.
  • Total credits must not exceed 100 (standard contests).
  • Team must be locked before the match starts. No changes after toss in most formats.

The new fantasy cricket app enforces these rules automatically and warns you if your lineup is invalid before submission.
